Welcome to Vet Tech at Your Door, founded in 2022 by Stephanie, a passionate and experienced registered veterinary technician. We specialize in providing nursing care and grooming services for a wide variety of animals, including pocket pets, cats, dogs, and birds, all in the comfort of your own home.
At Vet Tech at Your Door, we have a special place in our hearts for special needs, behavioral, and senior pets. We understand the unique challenges these pets face and are dedicated to ensuring they are as comfortable and stress-free as possible during their care.
Our services cater to pets with behavioral problems, such as reactivity to other animals or people, as well as those who struggle with the grooming process. We work closely with you and your veterinary team to develop personalized care plans, including finding the proper drug and maintenance protocols to alleviate your pet’s stress and improve their quality of life.

Stephanie
Meet Stephanie, the heart and soul behind Vet Tech at Your Door. Stephanie’s journey in veterinary care began when she graduated from the veterinary technician program at Algonquin College and passed her registration exam in 2011. Over the next decade, she honed her skills and expertise in several small animal clinics across Ontario, specializing in general medicine, specialty surgery, and rehabilitation.
In 2022, Stephanie founded Vet Tech at Your Door, driven by her realization of the need for mobile pet care services to enhance patient care beyond the confines of a hospital setting. Her vision was to bridge the gap between hospital care and the comfort of home, ensuring that pets receive the best possible care in a familiar environment.
Outside of her professional life, Stephanie finds joy in nature and spends her days with her wife and their four dogs. Her passion extends to rescuing potcakes from overseas, a cause close to her heart. Stephanie also has a soft spot for anything dachshund-related, adding a touch of whimsy to her love for animals.
Stephanie’s dedication to animal welfare and her commitment to providing compassionate care shine through in everything she does. With her at the helm, Vet Tech at Your Door is more than just a business – it’s a testament to Stephanie’s unwavering passion for animals and her desire to make a difference in their lives.
Nate
Nate is a lifelong animal lover with an easygoing nature that animals instantly respond to — especially dogs. For years, he owned and operated his own doggy daycare and boarding business, caring for pets of all breeds and personalities.
At home, Nate and his wife are happily outnumbered by their fur family: two young Irish Wolfhounds, a 15-year-old morkie, and a cat who’s certain he’s one of the dogs. Having spent years surrounded by animals, rescuing, fostering, and volunteering with local dog rescues, Nate is thrilled to bring his experience and passion for animal care to Vet Tech at Your Door.
